November 13, 2001 Pgh-AHU Board Minutes
I. Call to order: 4:10 p.m. at German Club.
Attending: Ed Willig; Doug Moore; Ken Herrle; Tim Schmid;Gary Gillen;Ray Phillips; Guests: John Muller and Don Balla
II. Ed presented Past President, Ray Phillips with an plaque For his past service to the chapter.
III. Review Of Minutes: Board approved minutes from the October meeting.
IV. Treasurer's Report: Gary: Approved as reported. Income of $731.41 Expenses: $176.85.
V. President's Report: Ed - Discussed D&O Insurance through national.
-Discussed NAHU plans to realign Region I. Region would be cut in half.
-We will not be conducting a Christmas party with PAGE. PAGE did not wish to.
-Discussed alternative of a Christmas "Happy Hour" following Dec. board meeting at Penn Brewery Dec. 14th.
-Discussed adding a business "Networking-Mixer" in February, possibly at Dave and Buster's.
VI. Membership Report: Tim : Two adds, two deletes
VII. Newsletter/Communication's Report: news letter will not be able to have a specific date for Mike Turzai, State House schedule not out yet. E-Mail to be sent out to announce date. Tentative date Friday Jan 11, 2002.
VIII. Education: No report, Dave Scott lost on the North Side.
XI. Legislative : No report
X. Technology Report: No report
XI. Awards: No report
X. Old Business: IRS update.
XII. New Business: Golf outing, discussed date of Thurs. May 16th at Lindenwood Golf Club in McMurray, Pa. Save Scott (still lost driving around the North Side ) to head Golf committee. Ken Herrle; John Muller; Don Balla to assist.Also will call Eric Neishoss for his continued help.
- Millennium Fund due $250.
-Tues. March 19th State Conference.
- Next meeting Dec. 14th at Penn Brewery.
