Senator Murphy discusses issues with Legislative Chair Pat Schultz and others

Pat Schultz and guest with Sen. Murphy It was indeed a pleasure for the Pittsburgh Chapter of the NAHU to sponsor Senator Tim Murphy of the Pennsylvania Senate and Gregory Martino, Deputy Insurance Commissioner of Pennsylvania. Many of the members of Pittsburgh Association of Health Underwriters were on hand to listen to their insightful perspective on the issues affecting our industry.

TDeputy Commissioner Martino addresses membershipopics of Senator Murphy's discussion were centered around the Managed Care legislation, and the Patients Bill of Rights.

Deputy Commissioner Martino concluded the  discussion by instructing a one hour C.E. seminar on Managed Care and some of the department's more sensitive issues.

We appreciated the opportunity presented to our membership so we could learn a little more from our friends in Harrisburg.
